The Breath of Life, Love & Light Saturdays beginning March 6th at 10am

Christian Spiritual Exploration Through Raja Yoga

Christ Unity Church is proud to present a series of classes that adapt the ancient methods of Raja Yoga to deepen and

strengthen Christian worship. Robert Bohanna teaches how to apply yoga techniques of breathing and meditation to

enhance your personal spiritual experience. The classes teach the living integration of different yoga practices culminating in

genuine Meditation. The classes teach how life, itself, is Unity. Please wear loose, cool, comfortable clothing. Chairs will

be provided, or you can bring a yoga mat. Saturdays: March 6th, 13th, and 20th.

Cost: $30 for all three classes or $15 each at the door.

Revolutionary Health Class Tuesday, March 9th at 6:30pm

Soul Line Dancing Tuesday, March 9th at 6:30pm

Soul Line Dancing is a fun, exciting way to a healthier new you. This phenomenon is sweeping the country and has recently

made a TV appearance on the Dr. Oz Show, where he endorsed it as an excellent exercise routine. Be a part of this

unique and invigorating craze. You won't believe how great you'll feel after the first session. The group will be led by

Tina B & The Sacramento Soul Line Dancers.

Cost: $20 per class or $100 for all six weeks.

Spiritual Cinema presents "The Secret of Roan Inish" Friday, March 12th at 7pm

The magic of folklore forms the basis of this Irish tale by writer-director John Sayles. Adapted from the book Secret of the

Ron Mor Skerry, the 1940s story is told from the point-of-view of Fiona (Jeni Courtney), a young girl sent to live with her

grandparents in an Irish fishing town. Her grandfather weaves grand stories about the family's evacuation from their home

on the tiny island of Roan Inish and about his great-great grandfather, who once cheated death at the hands of the

unforgiving sea. As she meets other villagers, Fiona hears even more personal stories about an uncle who married a

beautiful, part-human/ part-seal and about how the sea stole her baby brother during the departure from Roan Inish. Later,

Fiona believes that she has found Jamie romping in the grass on Roan Inish, and she must convince the family of her vision.

Happy Soles Hike "Hidden Falls" Saturday, March 13th at 9am

This is a relatively easy 6 mile hike with pretty views including a waterfall we can see from a viewing platform. The hike is

in a regional park west of Auburn. Heavy rains cancel the trip. This is a social event and not an athletic competition;

however you should not attempt this hike if you are not in good physical shape. RSVP not required.

The I of the Storm: Embracing Conflict, Creating Peace Sunday, March 14th at 1pm

A Workshop facilitated by: Stephanie Seigh ACE, PCC Director of Peacemaking & Transitional Services

This workshop explores the work of Rev. Gary Simmons in his book, The I of the Storm. In his acknowledgments, Gary

states, "Any worthwhile endeavor begins as an idea and ends with an outer accomplishment. Yet it's the everywhere in

between where lives are changed and blessing garnered." I of the Storm is a guidebook that helps us to fully appreciate

the everywhere in between. Beginning with the peacemaking "mantra" ~ No one and no thing is against you ~ we see

with compassion and clarity what it takes to live a life of purpose and direction. We discover that conflict brings us to the

edge of our resourcefulness, and shows us the "missing pieces" in our relationships and situations. Through instruction and

exercises, we learn that the entire Universe is FOR us and that everything in our lives, including conflict and discomfort, are

opportunities to experience our wholeness and true worth. Join us for this powerful, life-changing workshop, as we are

called to live a life of peace from our center... to be fully present to the storm, enabling us to be the connecting link between

God and our world.

You asked for an encore and we listened! Enjoy the musical talents of Ann Roach, Sonja Moore, Carol Williams-Manson,

Theresa McGarry, Cappy Lewis, Percival Jones, Rev. Charles Cooper, and Chakra! at our Musical Celebration

“Love Is In The Air.” The theme of this event is “Love” through music across all eras and genres, you will not want to miss

this spectacular evening!

Creating an Enlightened Couples Relationship Class Begins Wednesday, March 24th at 7pm

Join Charlotte Parks and Sharon Scoggins-Koleski for a new couples class exploring The Six Secrets of a Lasting

Relationship by Dr. Mark Goulston. Open to all committed couples.

Cost: $10 per couple per week plus the book.

Church Potluck & Social Friday, March 26th at 7pm

This month’s community potluck welcomes Spring with not only great fellowship and good food, but also your chance

to share your vocal chops as our own DJs manage the Karaoke machine. People of all ages are invited to eat up and

sing out!

Pizza Theater "You Are Easter" Sunday, March 28th at 1pm

"You Are Easter," is an original play written by Joy Duffy and adapted for Pizza Theater by Bertha Gorman. The one-act

play informs young people about the many symbols and traditions associated with Easter. Tickets are $5 and include a

Pizza Party in Fellowship Hall after the play. The Youth of Unity will also be selling advance raffle tickets for a drawing

that will be during the Pizza Party. you don't have to be present to win. Proceeds from the play and the raffle support the

Youth of Unity and Youth Education.

A.C.T.S. Players "Transport & Transcend" Wednesday, March 31st at 7pm

In the true spirit of Easter, come transport yourself away from the stresses of daily life and transcend into spiritual peace.

Come join us for this unique experience of vignettes, readings, song, and dance.

For ministers, board members, lay leaders, practitioners, licensed teachers and led by Rev. Dr. Gary Simmons, the

Thriving Ministry Model is a new paradigm for church growth and development. Based in the Integral theory of Ken

Wilber, this new model emphasizes a movement from the pastor/flock model to a community/mission centric model of

ministry. It equips church leaders with dynamic tools for creating cultural and systematic shifts in the church that lead to

increased congregational ownership and organizational resilience. Based on the ground-breaking research of Rev. Dr.

Gary Simmons, this seminar reveals how church leaders can effectively impact how their congregations support the

ministry. It provides a holistic framework for working with organizational issues that result in operational congruence and

interpersonal integrity.

The focus of the seminar is on growing the consciousness and numbers of those who are committed to the well-being of

the church, starting with those already in the pews. When more of a ministry's congregants become committed to the

well-being of their church, the result is an increase of energy and resources. Participants will grow in their understanding

of how the church operates from a systematic and cultural perspective, and will learn how to create new ways to

strengthen the ministry.

"Care of the Soul" Silent Retreat Saturday, May 22nd, 9am - 4pm

When you care for the soul, it will care for you in ways that you can't even imagine, taking you to new realms of wonder

and spiritual unfoldment. Gail Vinson and Gail Derin invite you to join them for a one day silent retreat entitled

"Care of the Soul." You will have the pleasure of being in silence as you experience times of meditation, walking in nature,

and doing practices that are designed to bring you into a profound sense of peace and Divine connection.

BePeace Foundations Course Week of May 24th - 28th

BePeace is a practice of coherence through appreciation and connection to universal needs through empathy and honesty.

This 5 day course empowers participants to use the practice of BePeace in their lives to grow as peacemakers.

Lectures are followed by experiential exercises in small groups so that every participant has an opportunity to practice

and demonstrate BePeace skills and techniques. BePeace is the clearest "how to" you will find for embodying peace.
