Volunteering

One of the best ways to get involved in your church community is through

volunteering. Listed below are the are the many areas to serve in the

Volunteer Ministry at Christ Unity Church.

When the time is right, and you feel the need to serve download a

Volunteer Application, fill it out, and drop it off at the V.I.P. Center the

next time you attend services.

Volunteer Service Descriptions

Ambassadors / VIP Center

Greet, welcome, provide information, and assist in event registrations for visitors and congregants

at the VIP Center. Lead visitors on facility tours.

Times needed: Sundays after each service and at special events

Bookstore

Assist people in making purchases, answering questions, checking in material, and stocking shelves.

Times needed: Sundays, weekdays and occasional evenings.

Green Thumbs

Assist in cleaning and beautifying our property at various times throughout the year.

Times needed: Saturdays and some weekdays.

Hospitality

Help prepare coffee and treats for our congregation and guests.

Times needed: Sundays after each service, Wednesday evenings, and at special events.

Lending Library

Check books and media in and out, catalog new arrivals, keep the library orderly, assist people

on Sundays, and call borrowers with overdue reminders.

Times needed: One Sunday a month after each service, and during the week as needed.

Maintenance / Cleaning / Landscaping

Interior and exterior beautification.

Times needed: Daily.

Media

Operate sound, lighting, projection, PowerPoint, cameras and other equipment for Sunday

services and special events. Produce CD's and DVD's.

Times needed: Sundays, and at special events.

Media Table

Process orders and sales of Sunday service lessons and special event CD's and DVD's.

Times needed: Sunday after each service and at special events.

Office Support

Assist in phone answering, copying, mailing, stuffing, and administrative tasks.

Times needed: Daily.

Parking Lot Security

Circulate through our front, side, and back parking areas during services.

Times needed: Sundays and at special events.

Platform Guys

Assist ladies up and down from the platform and Sundays and special events.

Times needed: Sundays and at special events.

Refreshments

Provide refreshments for Sunday services and special events.

Times needed: Sundays and at special events.

Special Events

Assist in setting up, coordinating, and cleaning up for social events, seminars, special events,

memorials, and weddings.

Times needed: Varies based on calendar.

Sunday Minister Assistants

Be with the ministers after Sunday services and special events at the exit line to take note,

provide water, etc.

Times needed: Sundays before and after services.

Ushers / Greeters

Welcome and thank congregants as they enter and exit our church, seat people in the sanctuary,

assist in taking the offering.

Times needed: Sundays, Wednesday Nights, and at special events.

Youth Education Volunteer Opportunities

** Background checks are required for all Youth Education Volunteers **

Nursery

Assist in the care for children during the 9 & 11am service. Newborns to 3 years old.

Children's Church

Partner with other adults in the planned spiritual curriculum from nursery through 6th grade.

Utilize classroom activities of guided play with songs, prayer, and crafts.

Uniteen Sponsors

Partner with other adults to facilitate our middle school youth group (grades 7-8) using planned

spiritual curriculum.

Youth of Unity (YOU) Sponsors

Partner with other adults and teen leaders to facilitate our high school youth group (grades 9-12)

using planned spiritual curriculum.
